CDM & BSA Service
CDM 2015 and the Building Safety Act 2023 are now inseparable in practice.
While many construction professionals recognise both, there is often uncertainty over which duty applies and when. In reality, most current enforcement action by the HSE relates to administrative non-compliance across both regimes. A common example is the requirement for clients to formally appoint two Principal Designers (one under CDM and one under the Building Regulations) and to declare both correctly on Building Control applications. Where these declarations are missing or unclear, applications are automatically flagged, submissions are paused, and clarification is demanded. We help clients navigate these requirements clearly and correctly, avoiding avoidable delays, compliance breaches, and enforcement action.
